The trees thinned out as the feline got closer to the river. They just lessoned and lessoned until there was no more. The river curved through the territory almost like a circle which weaved through the whole territory. The sun was out, shining on the river, heating the water up so it was warm enough to swim in. Fish swam in the water, trying to keep cool on this mild day.

A young she-cat made her way towards the pond which lay before her. It was just as wide and as long as it had been the day before, but today, it was shinier. She walked, one pawstep in front of another to the river which now lapped against the ground. As she got closer, she could see the fish swimming about.

"Poor guys," she muttered as she placed her paw into the water. She knew that they didn't want to be eaten, but to survive, one must eat.

She scooped up her paw and there was a fish, it was dead. Mistystar put the fish on the ground and dug a hole in the soft ground. It might not be too could to bury fish, but it was better than getting it stolen.

Mistystar tried to concentrate but she was sweltering in the sun. Her pelt was a blue-gray and even though it wasn't black, she could still feel the intense heat of the sun. It wasn't the warmest of days, it was just one where you felt really warm. She sighed as she stared at the water which lay before her.
